This is what the emcee says whenever Babes Calixto enters a fellowship or party with the SD. All female eyes then zero in on him again and whisper.  In awe at what they see, ogling and about to swoon,  the "gift" has arrived.

Babes Calixto, tried and true, joined in 1992.  As a member of the UP Swim Team and a college scholar.  Babes was already in the sights of the girls even before the days of the basement. Former, SNF and GK.  Babes is also a veteran of numerous rumbles, displaying courage in the fiercest of battles.

Babes honed this gift he had as a Casanova when he endured the canes of the fellowship and eventually was more known for breaking hearts than enemy's heads because there were simply too much of them and only one Babes.  Cue cards had to be taken. Seriously.

They all had to take a cue card.  Time was limited.

After college, and a brief modeling stint, Babes became a successful entrepreneur in the food business partnering with his best friend  and co-tycoon  Cocoy Ignacio '94.  Together, they built the "Aveneto empire".  Being a master chef himself, babes helped the franchise become a staple Italian gastronomic experience for almost two decades and still growing.  

The next frontier for Babes would be his re-entry in the Pasay City political arena.  With his mass appeal, I would not be surprised to see Babes as mayor or in congress someday, soon.

Through the years Babes has been an icon for pure and true fellowship.  This bro is generous, kind sincere and can party like its 1999.  On numerous occasions I have been blessed with his fellowship.  Truly he is not just tried, but definitely true.

More of a.lover than a fighter, Babes taking after his predecessor, the retired "Gift" Jun Andres.'77.  I was witness to Babes disarming women by his gentlemanly demeanor, elan' and wit.  One time, it literally took just a wink., a drink and a smile for Babes to captivate a gorgeous woman he just met.  I was aghast. Envious.  I would have done everything in my power, including paying a hefty sum for a woman of that caliber. Babes just made it look all too easy.   I went somewhere else that night and paid.

After finally finding his true love, approaching retirement himself, Babes continues the tradition of developing and passing on being "The Gift" to the paduan, Jegar Catindig 2006. Unfortunately, the paduan still has much to learn, garner more "frequent flier miles", to attain the Jedi  "Gift" stature of Babes and Jun before him.  It will come, with practice, a lot of time, not being tired of waiting.
