The Man from Ususan: Glenn "Glensanity" Villar Ollero '76

To call Glenn "Glensanity" Villar Ollero '76 a character in the Upsilon is a gross undertstatement.

Glensanity is known to many as:

1. the life of the party that swims in oceans of beer
2. Generous to a fault kind of bro
3. Passionate in all of his endeavors
4. Fearless
5. Loyal
6. Hilarious...... totally.

Often misunderstood, loved by many, Glensanity has shown devotion to the fraternity by serving  in the USPLBAA, being a constant supporter of the USPAA and now as playing coach for his own South Glensanity team in the Hoopsilonians.

Glensanity has his own brand of Fellowship, known ro openly accept any brod that knocks at his door.  Glenn also does away with "manly" hang ups by openly expressing his love for bros.

I met Glenn only in the mid '90's at a fellowship.  Instantly, I could see that this bro was tried and true.  True enough as the years passed, several outrageous "Glensanity adventures" came.  Along with the laughter, the drinks and Fellowship came the famous "Glensanity Quotes" such as:
"Hindi ako amoy Lacoste, amoy Upsilonian Ako!" and "Sosyal din naman ako, Steely Dan ang sounds ko" and the ever classic "Di naman tayo charismatic group. Fraternity tayo. Mga sira ulo tayo....".

Glenn is also passionate,  too passionate for comfort at times. Ask the referee at one Hoopsilonian game about it.  His rants in social media also shows how emotional he can get at times.  It is actually admirable to see how a person can have such conviction.

I also recall how he can carried away at parties such as the "Retro sa Metro" leg of the "Arangkada sa Manila".  He got up on stage and sang with no less than "The Dawn" a cover of the Juan dela Cruz classic "Balong Malalim".   There was one problem, he forgot the lyrics....... just imagine. The next day I asked him via text: "Bro bakit naman di mo alam yung lyrics pagkanta mo?"  Glenn replied: "San ako kumanta? I slept with my shoes on".

Another hilarious moment with Glensanity was when I introduced him to a hot chick in Dugout.  I said "Bro she is from Dasma Makati", Glensanity replied "Really? I am from Bgy Ususan, Taguig City, maraming shabu dun".  The girl just smiled and said "Oh, really".  I thought I was going to have a heart attack by laughing so hard.

Glensanity is also a great father to his children and husband to his Sigma Deltan wife Lulu with his code name "81-18".  She is coded that way because of her batch in SD and also because her word is law in their home.  Tried and true, obedient as well.

What a character he is.  A veteran of the rumbles in UPLB, a valedictorian in his '76 group, a tried and true Upsilonian, a true brother raising a cry against loneliness  Ferocious..

I am glad Glensanity is on our side.
